This is horrifying for Donald Trump
Each year, we celebrate the successes (and failures) of the men who have served as U.S. presidents. Donald Trump was selected to the place he belongs-dead last behind a man who died 31 days into his presidency (William Henry Harrison) and Richard M. Nixon, who resigned in disgrace. So, while Trump may think he’s great, others obviously have another opinion. This is not some partisan poll. It is a survey that is conducted annually by the Presidential Greatness Project.
According to Newsweek, the survey participants were asked to rank each U.S. president on a scale of zero to 100 for “overall greatness.” Those scores were then averaged per president and ranked from highest to lowest. Most would think Trump coming in dead last is a “no-brainer.” He was a horrible president. He probably hates that President Biden came in at number 14 and President Obama at 7. Fox tried to hide the news from Trump by simply posting an article about the new rankings and saying that Trump was below President Biden. HuffPost had more fun with the news from Fox’s piece on “X.” That post was inundated with comments or reposts, including one from George Conway: “Odd that the tweet and headline don’t highlight the fact that Trump came in dead last, and that even Republican participants in the survey viewed him as being among the worst five presidents.”
HuffPost included some other great responses. David Lazarus said: “Some impressive misdirection on Fox’s part. Trump came in dead last. Worst president ever, according to historians.” Scott Smith chimed in with: “Trump placed far worse than just “below Biden” there,” and @chriscesq, America’s mayor posted: “tfw you suck more than the guy who was president for 30 days.” Think about it: Harrison died of pneumonia 31 days after being elected, which means he had no chance to do anything, but Trump is ranked below him. What’s so ironic is that Trump was ranked at 45. He was so proud of being president that he had baseball caps embroidered with the number 45. He’s probably burning them right about now. To make matters worse for Trump, a new ABC News/Ipsos poll came out that he won’t like at all.
The poll reveals that most Americans want Trump disqualified. When it comes to states disqualifying Trump from their ballots, 49% support while 46% oppose, but the biggest number speaks to disqualifying Trump from running at all: 56% want him disqualified, and the same amount support the pending criminal charges. When Trump’s supporters are polled on criminal convictions, only 10% would view him less favorably if convicted, while 12% view him more favorably. In that same vein, 41% support criminal charges while only 24% strongly oppose. Trump, of course, would like to see all charges against him dropped, calling the charges “communism.” Donald Trump simply needs to go away, and we may just witness that soon. He’ll either be convicted or he’ll be beaten at the ballot box, but the best thing for this country is for him to be out of the political picture.
