This is getting ugly for Ted Cruz

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Ted Cruz incited an insurrection against the United States government. When his state had a weather crisis, he fled to Cancun. He’s a creepy weirdo and no one on either side likes him. So why is he still in the Senate? Because he’s a hate monger, and he knows how to get the votes of hate mongers. But he seems to be running out of ammo.

The trouble for Ted Cruz is that President Biden is very popular and scandal free, and the Democrats’ legislation is also very popular. This means Cruz has no angle for attacking Biden. Cruz ended up reducing himself to tweeting that Biden is “boring but radical.”

First of all, those two words don’t go together. The mere notion of a radical agenda would rule out the possibility that it’s a boring agenda, and vice versa. But Cruz and his fellow obstructionists can’t figure out whether they want to paint Biden as being a far left extremist or too bland, so Cruz is trying to do both – in the same sentence.

This is just getting ugly for Ted Cruz at this point. His ill fated tweet has received twice as many negative comments as likes. Most of the replies are harping on Cruz’s actual scandals, instead of the imaginary Biden scandals that Cruz is trying to create. If Ted Cruz had any sense, he’d shut up for awhile. Instead he’s digging himself a deeper hole.
