This is creepy, even for Ted Cruz

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

In the last few days we have had two major shootings. The latest was in the city of Boulder, Colorado, with ten dead including a police officer who responded. We have an issue in this nation with guns, and some in Congress have repeatedly tried to address the issue with moderate gun control legislation that would at a minimum make it a bit more time intensive to obtain assault weapons.

Rather than take this issue seriously and agree we have a nation that has a problem with mass shootings, Senator Ted Cruz has once again doubled down on his creepy a-holism. Cruz said about the later proposals on gun control: “Every time there’s a shooting we play this ridiculous theater. What they propose … it makes it worse.”

Perhaps one reason for Cruz’s unwillingness to do anything is that he is a top recipient of guns rights campaign contributions. Something must be done to address our nation’s issues with gun violence and the continued display of the power of ease of access to same. Cruz demonstrates once again that he is not interested in what’s best for the nation, but rather his pure hold on power. Simply saying it is “ridiculous theater” is creepy.
