This is a huge gift against Donald Trump
Dr. Deborah Birx is a joke, but she just handed us a huge win with her testimony to Congress that Trump was too obsessed with reelection to care about dealing with the pandemic.
Let’s stop wasting our time lamenting about how much Birx sucks, and instead start using her testimony to help us win the midterms. She just acknowledged that Trump needlessly and selfishly got a whole lot of Americans killed. As long as House and Senate Republicans are still tying themselves to Trump, we can and should tie them to Trump scandals such as Birx’s testimony.
This isn’t about Dr. Birx. She’s irrelevant in her own right. She’s not important enough to worry about whether she should be punished for having covered for Trump while he was in office. Complaining about her accomplishes nothing. This is about winning. Birx, for whatever reason, just handed us a gift. It’s our job to use it against the Republican Party in the midterms.
