This is a five alarm fire for them too

In response to this initial “shock-and-awe” stage of the Trump “administration,” people are yelling for Democrats to do something. But the Republican Party is 100% responsible. Trump is committing impeachable offense after impeachable offense aided and abetted by the Republican Party and it’s time to call them out on it. Unless we make it through the midterm elections, Democrats might not be able to save democracy alone.

This chaos is unsustainable. Republican officials must be getting bombarded with panicked phone calls and emails from constituents questioning their leadership. And what about corporate America? During COVID, under Trump, airlines were grounded for TWO YEARS tanking the economy. Where are the major airlines, banks, manufacturers, pharmaceuticals, retailers in all this? It is a five-alarm fire for them too.

Although hamstrung by right-wing controlled corporate media, who are the only ones who might profit from this chaos besides Trump, Musk, and Putin, Democrats have fought bravely to retake the narrative. A paradigm shift to Independent Media is happening and Democrats still managed to win in 2018, 2020 and 2022, and even overperformed in 2024.

But it’s becoming clear that the goal of the RNC in the 2024 elections was to enlist the media to force Biden out to get the win for Trump, then the rest of their coup would take care of itself. But at some point, Republicans, Independents, and Corporate America need to face reality. This will not go well for them.

America has always had a two-party system, yet the Republican Party has been trying to change that for the past 60 years. Now they might get what they wanted, a one-party system. But at what cost? We saw during the first two years of Trump’s prior term with GOP control of Congress how horrible it got. Now we are getting a first glimpse of Trump’s devastation. The stock market is tanking, and airplanes are literally crashing in mid-air.

According to Tristan Snell, “By trying to look like a strongman, Trump actually outs himself as weak: he is delivering these policies as executive orders precisely because he would have difficulty getting them passed in Congress, as they are too extreme, and Republicans’ majorities are too narrow and internally fractious.”

Democrats will continue to fight using court challenges, committee hearings, impeachment hearings, legislation, and of course the midterm elections. But it’s time for the Republican Party to take responsibility and act accordingly. Wake TF up Republicans!
