This guy is a total lunatic

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

While the GOP is desperately trying to backpedal their staunch support of the Dobbs case and the rash of anti-abortion laws that we’ve seen hit nearly every Republican run state and swing state over the last three years, Doug Mastriano has managed to give them a headache all over again.

The same guy who was caught posing for pictures in Confederacy gear and declared that he’d just overturn the results of statewide elections he isn’t happy with, not to mention the scandal about how much he was involved in the Jan 6 insurrection, has now decided to announce that he’d gladly sign a six-week abortion ban if ever elected governor.

Republicans are hoping that they can distract the media from their plan for a nation-wide abortion ban by trying to force immigration to the headlines instead and play on the prejudices of swing voters, but now every race in a pivotal swing state can now be used to force Republican candidates to pick a side – either for or against Mastriano’s abortion ban – and either position is a loser for them.

It’s even worse for Mastriano that the Philadelphia suburbs that are often pivotal in winning statewide elections are largely turned off by this. It’s yet another reason we need to energize voters to get behind Attorney General Josh Shapiro’s gubernatorial campaign – a race that we can not only win but one that we absolutely must.
