Donald Trump’s claims of immunity are about to be put to the test. Trump thinks that continuing to threaten people will magically make his problems go away. Business Insider reported that Trump plans to “indict” President Biden if he doesn’t get blanket immunity. He has a lot of nerve trying to drag President Biden into his cesspool, but then, he has a lot of nerve period. He’s also dumber than a box of rocks. Presidents don’t get to hand out indictments, but you can’t tell this imbecile anything. Just like his continued claim that attempting to overturn the election was part of his job as president. As Bugs Bunny would say, what a nincompoop.

Trump’s job as “president” after the 2020 election was to ensure the peaceful transfer of power. He never did that. To make matters worse, Trump is unduly smug about his duties and his so-called innocence. Trump is in USA Today quoted as saying: “I was entitled.” That’s the problem with Trump. He has felt entitled his entire life to do whatever he pleased. He argued that he was president at the time the events occurred. The point he is missing, however, that as president, he was not entitled to incite a mob to commit violence. He also had a duty as president to stop the violence once it began. In no way was Trump acting under color of the presidency.

Now it turns out Dan Scavino has been talking to federal authorities, which could end Trump. Scavino, Trump’s former White House chief of staff, was asked to testify before the House Select Committee but made claims of immunity to get out of it. Those claims were quashed by a judge, and he had no choice but to talk to Jack Smith’s team. One of the things Scavino told Smith is that Trump “was just not interested” in intervening in the riot at the Capitol on January 6. Former republican congressman Adam Kinzinger said on CNN: “All he had to do was literally put out a tweet. All he had to do was activate the National Guard.” He did neither. Kinzinger believes that Trump is “in real trouble” and reminded us that “For 187 minutes, for over three hours, Donald Trump sat there watching an insurrection in action and did not act.” Scavino backs that up by saying that he and others attempted to persuade Trump to send out a tweet to calm the crowd. Instead of taking the time to act, he sent out a tweet that Mike Pence “did not have the courage” to do what Trump wanted him to do, which was illegal and only riled up his supporters more. When they finally did get him to release a statement, it was with sickening words to the rioters, asking them to leave.

Put all of that together, and it is obvious that Trump was not acting in the best interests of this country and that none of what he did that day had anything to do with his job as “president.” The court simply must follow the evidence, their logic, and the law, and they will find that Donald Trump was not and is not immune.
