This Capitol attacker is even dumber than we thought

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Iowa Branch Trumpvidian and terrorist Doug Jensen, who participated in the January 6 attack on the Capitol suffered another legal setback today. Namely his petition for release was denied a second time. Jensen remains in Federal custody in Pennsylvania while awaiting trial at some date in the future.

As you may recall, Jensen was sent back to jail last summer for violating the terms of his release by looking at videos promoting the lies about the 2020 election and listening to reich wing male bovine excrement after promising that he would be a good little insurrectionist by Judge Timothy Kelly, an Orange F—k Face (OFF) appointee. Back on December 7, Jensen’s lawyers acknowledged Jensen had violated the court’s order but said he should not be punished because he didn’t hurt anyone and requested that he be released to home confinement with GPS monitoring and a ban on using social media when they entered the petition for his release.

Well, Judge Kelly was less than impressed with that line of reasoning. In his decision, Kelly wrote how Jensen sought, “…to modify conditions that he himself proposed—after violating them—only underscores the Court’s conclusion that he is unlikely to abide by them.” I agree with the Judge here that if he was released, he would not be a good insurrectionist and would be back to violating his conditions in no time at all. I’m glad our country is sending a message to these terrorists that no matter what OFF and the GQP say, they are not above the law and they are going to be held accountable for their crimes. As was done here with Jensen.
