This blithering idiot
Donald Trump spent the past week bragging on Twitter that because he banned flights from China to the United States, it somehow magically stopped the coronavirus from being a problem in the United States. This was a cruel joke, considering that more and more coronavirus cases were being diagnosed in the U.S. even as Trump was doing his bragging.
Now that even the most low-information of Americans can see that the coronavirus is clearly here in the United States, and that Trump’s China travel ban didn’t work, he decided that a new travel ban is the answer. Trump announced during his half dead Oval Office address tonight that he’s now going to ban all flights from Europe to the United States. Does the idiot not get that it’s already here?
And because Trump can’t do anything without throwing in some inexplicable caveat, he’s decided that his travel ban somehow won’t apply to the United Kingdom. Why? The coronavirus is on the loose in the UK as well. Is it because this racist idiot perceives England as being whiter than the rest of Europe? Is it because he owes a favor to his fellow right wing Kremlin puppet Boris Johnson? Who knows. But this blithering idiot Donald Trump is putting us all at risk.
