Donald Trump thinks he’s found a whole new way to sell us out
Donald Trump said and did so many disturbing, corrupt, incoherent, and evil things during his press conference on Monday, one of his most alarming remarks ended up getting somewhat lost in the shuffle. But it’s something we need to put a pin in, because it could soon end up being quite relevant.
Trump tried to deflect from his inability and unwillingness to get emergency medical supplies to hospitals by insisting that the United States is manufacturing so much medical equipment, he’s giving it away to other countries. It’s not just that this is wrong. Much as we want to help other countries, we can’t do this until we’ve covered our own massive supply shortages. It’s that there’s no way Trump is doing something like this unless there’s something in it for himself.
Over the weekend we pointed you to the State Department press release from early February which revealed that the Trump had given seventeen tons of medical equipment to China. Now Donald Trump is up there saying that he’s giving even more medical equipment to other nations, including Italy. So what’s the common thread here?
Last year, after Donald Trump’s Ukraine extortion scheme blew up in his face, Trump specifically tried to lean on the regimes in China and Italy to manufacture phony scandals about Joe Biden. Now we’re seeing that he gave crucial U.S. medical supplies to China, and he’s about to do the same with Italy. This has to be another attempt at coaxing these countries into making up phony Biden scandals, doesn’t it?
