Things just got even uglier for Rudy Giuliani

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Rudy Giuliani knows he’s going to prison; he admitted as much in near-exact words earlier this month. Donald Trump knows Rudy is going to prison; it’s why Trump’s surrogates basically told the media last week that Rudy is guilty. The DOJ and FBI expect to be able to put Rudy in prison; it’s why they raided his home and seized his communications. At this point the only questions are when Rudy is getting arrested and what the charges will be.

In that regard, things just got even uglier for Rudy Giuliani. No, we still don’t know when his arrest is coming. But we now know that the federal criminal probe into Giuliani is even broader than we imagined. Mother Jones is reporting that the FBI is criminally investigating a propaganda film that Rudy attempted to create for a Ukraine government official.

Why does this matter? The headlining criminal charges against Rudy Giuliani could center around his criminal conspiracy with corrupt Ukraine officials to try to alter the outcome of the 2020 U.S. election, and his subsequent criminal attempts at tampering with the election results. But the charges that are most certain to take him down will center around the money he took from Ukraine and other foreign officials, because conviction on those charges will be cut and dried. So it’s a big deal that the Feds are going this deep on Rudy’s dirty foreign money. The more the Feds can nail Rudy on, the greater the odds he’ll end up flipping on Donald Trump in order to avoid spending the rest of his life in prison.
