They can’t stop Joe Biden now

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Marjorie Taylor Greene is a useless waste of space. USA Today reported she heckled President Joe Biden during his State of the Union. Two words for Greene: Grow up. How embarrassing for the rest of the world to see the fools that voters put in public office. Biden, however, not only ignored Greene but put all of them in their place. Biden gave an optimistic speech that acknowledged the country’s problems (Greene being one of them), but USA Today’s description of the event was priceless: “I’ve never seen anything like it in a State of the Union speech. They ran at him like a pack of lemmings and, with a wink and a grin, he politely directed them to the cliff.”

President Biden has an uncanny way of ignoring the high-school behavior of most Republicans and moves along with the business of the country. He has no time for Republican games; he touted his accomplishments, as he should, including the 3.4% unemployment rate (the lowest since 1969) and waning inflation. President Biden took no crap from Republicans, who mercilessly jeered him and even refused to stand when he spoke on the state of our democracy. Who are the traitors to our country again?

Chuck Schumer, appearing on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” commented: “It showed just that Biden was talking to the average American, and the contrast of these guys screaming and yelling and throwing junk on the wall, and not having a plan, just calling names, I think is going to serve the president so well and it’s going to serve the country well.” President Biden does serve the country well, regardless of those who continue to denigrate him and his work and those who claim to not see what he has done because they are allowing the nut jobs to drown him out. It will be difficult for Republicans to un-paint the portrait they made of themselves-a portrait of foolishness, a portrait of intolerance, a portrait of how little they love this country. Their immature behavior allowed President Biden to get them exactly where he wanted them. According to Politico, Kevin McCarthy has now pledged not to touch Medicare and Social Security as part of the debt limit negotiations. He can go back on his word if he likes, but that will be the end of him and his fellow Republicans, especially Greene, who accused President Biden of lying about the economy and the border. He has no need to lie; the numbers speak for themselves. Of course, Greene probably can’t count past her ten fingers and toes.

Kevin McCarthy can call President Biden’s speech “the most partisan [he’s] ever heard” all he likes, but the truth is that President Biden has always sought to work across the aisle, even as Republicans act like children. As Vice President Harris said on Good Morning America, none of the Republican antics will stop President Biden from being who he is, which is a deal maker. Even if the other side doesn’t want to deal, President Biden won’t stop trying. That is the mark of a real man and a real leader.
