There’s something wrong with Samuel Alito

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We’ve all met our share of odd ducks before, yes? People who may look like us but appear to have deep secrets buried within or perhaps simply act — odd. Very odd.

Samuel Alito is an odd duck.

Alito and Thomas are known to be the two worst extreme judges we have now. But they are VERY different.

Where Thomas has shown he doesn’t give a damn what we all think of him, Alito seems almost frantic to stop any bad press.

This week The Wall Street Journal published an op-ed. It was written by Alito.

And it appeared to be a preemptory strike against some VERY bad news about to hit for the Witch-judge fan.

The news DID hit. This news was from ProPublica, who came out with a report that Alito, like other justices before him, failed to disclose certain items on his financial disclosures.

The other part of the news was that Alito did not recuse himself from a case involving a friend of his, a hedge fund guy by the name of Paul SInger.

Alito’s op-ed was defensive as hell, falsely righteous, and hostile as a gloating witch. Not that it should be much of a surprise. As I said — Samuel Alito is an odd duck.

“ProPublica has leveled two charges against me,” Alito wrote.

“Neither charge is valid,” Alito declared.

It IS quite odd indeed to see an Op-ed come out refuting charges that had not yet been leveled at him .
Well — now they have. But Alito insists he’s innocent.

As for recusing himself, Alito answers that one by claiming he had “no obligation” to recuse. Well, that’s that then! Sammy has spoken!

Alito denied this man was his friend, saying they’d only spoken a handful of times. Of course, there IS that pesky little luxury fishing trip they took together.

Alito insisted he did not have any reason to disclose the flight to Alaska until “a few months ago.”

Several legal minds commented on how odd this Op-ed by Alito was.

And these same people seem to feel that Alito’s non-disclosure of the fishing trip is “a violation of federal law.”

Now ProPublica HAD asked Alito to comment, and he did — in the form of this bizarre op-ed.

Isn’t it interesting how the extreme Justices always have an excuse for everything? Isn’t it funny how so many of them (The Republican members) seem to not disclose some very important things?

Vert few people seem to believe Sammy’s defense. On the contrary, they seem skeptical. But what would one expect? After all, Samuel Alito is a very odd duck, and he just might be odd enough to actually think the American people are NOT rolling their eyes in disbelief.
