There is something very wrong with Kari Lake

We've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.

Kari Lake is running for Governor of Arizona. There is just one problem. Kari Lake is insane. She isn’t just “a little” insane. Lake is full-on batshit crazy. An election denier, she is, in the spirit of Assolini, refusing to say she’d accept the election results if she doesn’t win.

But there is something else Lake has said that didn’t go over well. Lake claimed that were Martin Luther King Jr still alive, he’d be an “American first” republican. No, he would not. The Maga movement represents everything King despised. Is there no end to Lake’s arrogance?

The answer to that question is, no, there is not. But Lake got pushback — from Bernice King, King’s own daughter. “What you share here is false and dismissive of Daddy’s seminal work and beliefs,” she tweeted.

I don’t know about you, but something about that tweet touched me deeply. Maybe it was her calling King “Daddy,” which I adored. It harkens back to a time when people spoke with love and admiration for each other, particularly their families. Bernice also included a link to the King Center for Nonviolent Social Change.

It is a sign of how demented Lake is that she would even dare to make a statement like that. That she would assume that a man — and an extraordinary one at that — who spent his whole life-fighting AGAINST voter suppression would ever choose to be associated with Maga. It also shows her desperation. Lake can’t be allowed to win. Please sign up to help Katie Hobbs and tell all Arizonians to vote.

It's been a tough week, a tough month, a tough year. For all of us. But the fight goes on. Because we know how important this is. Because we care. Because we're the ones who fight. It's you and me. It has been for a decade. And I'm never backing down. But Palmer Report does have operating expenses. And in this uncertain time, I truly need your help. For that reason I've launched the Palmer Report 2025 Operating Expenses Fund. If we can fully fund this, it'll bridge the gap and ensure that Palmer Report can keep fighting now and forever. I'm asking you to contribute what you can to our GoFundMe Page or our PayPal Page, both of which accept debit and credit cards. Thank you.
