There is no bottom

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Last week, we had the MAGAvan bomber terrorist, who sent more than a dozen pipe bombs to “President” Donald Trump’s favorite political targets, we had an African American couple shot in Kentucky after the assailant was unable to get into a predominantly black church, and on Saturday, eleven people were killed during Shabbat at a Pittsburgh synagogue. Many have asked Trump to tone down his rhetoric and stop with the verbal attacks.

After Trump flat out lied on Saturday about the New York Stock Exchange reopening on September 12th after 9/11 to justify his continuing with a Southern Illinois rally, where he continued with his same cult cheers, including “lock her up,” he has on Sunday shown that he is not interested in calm and peace.

The first tweet of note on Sunday was directed at one of the victims of the MAGAbomber: “Just watched Wacky Tom Steyer, who I have not seen in action before, be interviewed by Jake Tapper. He comes off as a crazed & stumbling lunatic who should be running out of money pretty soon. As bad as their field is, if he is running for President, the Dems will eat him alive!”

That tweet was earlier on Sunday and shows how tone deaf Trump is to the current environment, and not unintentionally so. Also, as a word of note to Trump: Steyer likely will still be a billionaire long after you become penniless. The second tweet happened Sunday evening: “The Fake News is doing everything in their power to blame Republicans, Conservatives and me for the division and hatred that has been going on for so long in our Country. Actually, it is their Fake & Dishonest reporting which is causing problems far greater than they understand!”

This latest tweet is more of Donald Trump trying to blame the press for bringing the violence on itself, just as Trump did with the bombing victims. Instead of being a person who honors the nation and leads it by his words, Trump continues to throw gasoline on the fire, continuing to refer to the media as the enemy. There is no bottom with this guy.
