There goes Kevin McCarthy

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

California non-politician and soon-to-be has-been Kevin McCarthy is making waves — waves of stupidity. Desperate to be taken seriously and to make Maga like him, Kevin McCarthy is saying if Republicans win the midterms and he (cowardly Kevin) gets to be Speaker, he will investigate Hunter Biden.

The cowardly Kevin penned an op-ed with a few other GOP non-lawmakers (which I wont link to), and it was in this op-ed that Kev solemnly made this promise. Kevin accused the Biden family members of trying to enrich themselves by using their connections to the President.

Of course, it is incredible in a way that Kevin could say this all with a straight face, given what his messiah has done. But McCarthy’s desperation has reached the boiling point.

He wants — he needs — he desires his Speaker position. It is Kevin’s most profound and most passionate wish. Some people wish for happiness, others wish for contentment — Kevin wishes for the House Speaker position. It’s just that simple.

Want to know the dirty little political secret? Kevin McCarthy is already yesterday’s news. How on earth would Kevin ever see his wish come to pass? First, Republicans would have to win their House, which we will not let them do. But then he’d have to convince all sections of the GOP that he (Kevin) has what it takes. He doesn’t.

And then — he’d have to convince Donald Trump. Trump has already begun to turn away from McCarthy. So have many in the GOP. Do you not hear the whisper screams that seem to appear every few weeks in some article or another insinuating this?

But, this McCarthy Oped-ed sounds more desperate than the usual McCarthy gibberish. Perhaps he’s starting to feel fear—Perhaps he doubts the ability of the GOP actually to win in November.

He’d be right to worry because the wave is about to hit. It’s the blue wave — made up of angry and passionate activists. It is THE blue wave. It is us.
