The Willard Hotel has turned into Donald Trump’s January 6th Watergate
Looks like the Willard Hotel is the new Watergate. Command center for the Trump effort to incite the 1/6 insurrection. And if today’s Washington Post reporting is correct that the Trump 2020 campaign paid for the hotels, that’s a clear path to indicting Donald Trump and his campaign officials.
In addition, significant credit should go go Seth Abramson for having been way out ahead of the major media outlets on the Willard Hotel story all along.
At this point there’s little doubt that the January 6th Committee will target everyone who was in the Willard Hotel command post; everyone from Roger Stone to Michael Flynn was reportedly there. The money angle also allows the committee to target Trump 2020 campaign officials who knew the campaign was paying for the hotel rooms. This story is big and it’ll only get bigger.
