The Villages comes alive in Florida
I have a close friend who lives close — just a few towns over from ‘The Villages.” The Villages is a retirement community, and A HUGE one. They have their own restaurants, medical facilities, and everything. One does not ever need to leave the area if one does not want to.
And for years, they were known as a hotbed of supporters for Donald John Trump. That maybe changing. This is because many retirees at The Villages are riding golf carts—many gold carts with Beyonce blasting and showing support for Kamala Harris.
It’s big. A group called “Kamala wins’ said on Sunday that Harris supporters had completely taken over a portion of the villages.
“This is a remarkable turnaround”, they said. It IS. The Villages have been known to be VERY red. But this time, it seems they’re out showing support not for Donald John Trump but for Kamala Harris.
You KNOW it isn’t good for Trump when even The Villages turns on him. Not only that, but many villagers have also signed up to volunteer for Kamala Harris. Donald Trump is not going to like this. This does not mean Florida is in play for the Harris team. What it DOES mean, however, is the shift is showing everywhere, even in the reddest of red places.
