The Trump show is in flames

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It is quite odd that when one watches a movie; one usually does not think the film will eventually move from fiction to real life. Such is the case with Jim Carrey’s The Truman Show, released in June of 1998.

The plot is that of a man played by Carrey who has no idea that his life is part of a massive television show with the world as his viewers. They watch the man’s every daily move. And they talk about it.

The film was quite good as well as being a bit ahead of its time. But now, time has caught up. The Trump show is being televised for your viewing pleasure. The Trump show is being watched by Twitter users, causal observers, and by people not just in this country but all over the world.

It is a real-life reality show, the traitor show, a world in which Donald John Trump is now starring in his own reality TV film. “So this is what the breakdown of a pathological anarchist looks like,” one Twitter whispered reverentially. “Trump is rapidly deteriorating” said many others.

All over the internet, people are buzzing. This is because millions are witnessing — in real time — the breakdown — disintegration of a traitor. Yes, it’s the Truman show that’s come to life. Only now do I think it appropriate to call it the trump show — don’t you?

“What is he DOING?” said many on social media. What he’s DOING is losing his mind. We always knew this day would come. And it might just get worse before it gets better.

This is what happens when a sociopath falls. This is what the end result is. This is the final act of Trump. The final act — the final curtain — the Trump show.

And nobody will ever forget this. It can be years from now, but people will still be talking about it. The days of Trump’s final act. The days trump lost his mind. This is just the start. I don’t know when the crescendo begins. It’s like an unending fireworks display, but the finale could come in mere minutes, or it could take a while.

Whatever DOES happen, the whole world will be watching. The Trump show is full of people earnestly watching — it’s Trump’s bigliest audience EVER, the culmination of his dreams. All eyes are on him! But THIS audience did not come to cheer him. They came to jeer him. They came to leer. And they came to say a happy goodbye to the biggest traitor in America.
