The Tempest
A “Bomb cyclone” is pummeling parts of the United States. Please be careful, Palmer Report readers. This white-out is rare in that it is expected to be tremendously powerful and will blanket much of the United States and Canada with masses of crisp white snow.
Meteorologists for the National Weather Service say the conditions for this ” bomb cyclone” have been met. Snow is whirling and flying toward us, preparing to drop tons of crystal icicles and drifts all over.
The Tempest is nearing. And so is the OTHER Tempest.– the one going on with Donald John Trump. The January 6 report has been released, and the storm — the Tempest that is spinning out of control right now comes from within Mar-a-Lago.
I think this just might be his wildest shitstorm yet. The tantrum that he threw was wild in its utter senselessness. He continued to insist he WON. (Yes, he wrote that in all caps.) “Millions of votes switched.” I only quote Trump when he is at his worst and most far-gone, and this certainly qualifies.
The posts on truth social (yes, there was more than one) showed a man who is rattled and completely beaten. It shows a man defeated. Writing about Donald Trump is interesting. It always is.
There was a time when I was not particularly eager to write about him. But I’ve changed my mind a bit about that. Why? Because he’s going down, and because so many of you — as witnessed in comments — want Justice.
So do I. And these last few months have shown that there will be justice. My friends, I cannot say for sure that Trump will go to prison. I don’t know what the future holds.
I CAN say, though, that all signs point to an indictment. I CAN say that the January 6 committee has written and created a masterpiece in showing the multitude of sins of Donald Trump. I CAN say that Donald Trump seems to sense all is lost. And it all pleases us, does it not?
So as the “bomb cyclone” — this rarest of rare — Tempest of a storm — makes its way here — as we creep closer to a holiday weekend — please be reassured that Justice is indeed also flying toward us. And it is ready, willing, and able to hold Trump accountable, and then we will witness the ultimate Tempest from Donald Trump.
