The silence is deafening

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

– It’s quiet today, relatively speaking. The silence is deafening. There’s this weird lack of news today, with the GOP convention being over and having had no impact, and the media not ready to trot out its next round of political storylines on a Friday. I suggest using this relatively quiet time to register people to vote, phone bank, and volunteer for campaigns.

– The TV ratings for Trump’s acceptance speech were significantly lower than for Biden’s acceptance speech. No one cares what Trump has to say anymore. Even his own base, apparently.

– Donald Trump just announced on Twitter that everything is a “succes.” This guy is as illiterate as he is evil as he is stupid.

– Fox News stooges John Roberts and Brian Kilmeade are trying to out-stupid each other today. They’re both winning. On a separate note, it’s oddly fitting that there is a clown named John Roberts who is on Fox News, and a clown named John Roberts who is on the Supreme Court.

– I’m sick of these people who insist that the only way we can win an election is if we sit around openly fretting about how we’re going to lose. These people are the worst. All they do is convince the rest of us that we shouldn’t bother trying to win. The best way to counter them is to register people to vote, phone bank, and volunteer for campaigns.
