The secret memo that spells doom for Republicans
Facades can be a lot of fun until they end and the truth comes out. And that is what’s happening with Republicans. It all started with the GOP and journalists. Republicans have told journalists with confidence that they intend to win back the Senate and hold the house. They will do that, they claim because the American people know what’s REALLY important. And it’s not abortion.
It’s not gun safety. It’s inflation. It’s the withdrawal from Afghanistan! That is what matters to the American people, the useless idiots tell the press. Ah, but it was all a facade! A mask of pretend that the GOP played hard. Show confidence and certainty! The only problem is — it isn’t real.
I know this because a secret memo has surfaced. Don’t you just love words like “Republican secret memo?” Because you KNOW it’s going to be something that’s good for us and terrible for them. And so it is.
Roll Call obtained this memo. And it shows that abortion will indeed continue to wreak “havoc” on Republicans going into 2024. This memo featured a political issue analysis by a Republican pollster. And they found a generic Senate ballot made a net shift of six points from Republicans to Democrats. It WAS R+3. It is NOW — D+3.
But that’s not all. The same memo shows the House Generic ballot has moved from R+6 to D+4.
That’s a net gain of ten points for us. Abortion was found to be the top reason for the shift.
And it is independents and a whole lot of newly registered voters who are part of this shift. This same memo featured swing voters explaining who they would vote for as of now, and Biden, of course, won — against Trump AND DeSantis.
Of course, you won’t hear about this memo from the GOP. They’re too scared. They’re twisting in the wind. They’ve been filled with dread, no doubt, as they mull over WHAT is more important to them — controlling women’s bodies with their misogynist ways or EVER winning another election again.
