The scam runs even deeper
Have you ever received an email from a Nigerian prince? He may claim to be your cousin—or your uncle—or a long-lost friend. He has some money for you, and all you have to do is give him your banking information.
Of course, we know this is a scam. But did you know, friends and readers, that many people DO NOT know? Gallup did a poll on this very subject in 2023. A stunning 15% of adults surveyed said that AT LEAST one family member had fallen victim to email scams.
Indeed, scammers know that if they cast their net wide enough, the odds are they’ll reel in some giant fish, so they persist in their scams—because, for these people, it pays off. Donald Trump is perhaps the biggest scammer of them all. When have we ever seen Trump when he was not scamming someone?
From pretending he’ll pay his contractors to Trump University to hawking Bibles, Trump’s scams run deeper than quicksand. It’s his hobby, his calling, if you will. As some paint or write or save lives, Trump scams people. It’s in his DNA.
That might be why a January 6 rioter, who is soon to start their prison sentence, confidently announced that they know Trump will free them from prison. Rachel Powell spoke with CNN and confidently predicted she would soon be out of prison.
“I know he’ll pardon me. That’s not a hope. I know that Trump will pardon me.” Undoubtedly, she is not the only J-6er who feels this way. She is simply one member of a very unique cult.
It’s a cult like no other ,that exists to serve every whim of a man who cannot stand the sight of these people, people he would NEVER EVER, in a million years, be caught with at one of his fancy Palm Beach galas. Cults come, and cults go, but the cult of Donald Trump is pretty unique.
It’s a political cult with dwindling numbers. Still, for the ever-faithful, those people who have chosen to throw their lives away in servitude to a callous and dismissive Emperor with no clothes, this cult is especially lethal.
When we win the 2024 election, my friends, this cult will be on its way further into oblivion. But for now, the true believers — most of them in prison — wait. They wait, like uneasy zoo animals waiting for a feeding, waiting to hear the footsteps of their beloved come to fetch them, hold them, and tell them everything is going to be OK.
They’re going to have a long wait. Because, like the senders of these scam emails, their scammer doesn’t give a damn about them. They’re lint to be picked off his shoes and flicked away with annoyance. But nothing will crack their shells of denial. So they wait — and they wait –, and they wait — forever doomed to dance the lonely waltz of the doomed Trump marks.
