The Rudy Giuliani “nut may crack in the next 36 hours”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

When the Feds raided Rudy Giuliani’s house last week, it made clear that he’ll eventually be indicted and arrested. When Rudy gave away that his longtime assistant is set to testify to the grand jury sometime this month, it helped pin down the likely timeframe for Rudy’s arrest. But the question of whether he’ll flip on Trump before his arrest is still up in the air.

This week Rudy publicly demanded that Donald Trump begin paying his legal bills, in what was a not-so-subtle threat to flip on Trump if he doesn’t cough up. Michael Cohen predicted that Trump wouldn’t pay no matter what, and thus far it hasn’t happened.

But now Rudy’s son Andrew Giuliani, who has bizarrely (and perhaps tellingly) become his father’s legal defense team spokesman since the raid, is predicting that Trump will cough up the money imminently. Andrew said that “The nut may crack in the next 36 hours.”

Based on his increasingly erratic behavior over the past few years, there are plenty of people who would say that Rudy Giuliani is a nut who has already cracked. So it’s a rather strange choice of words by Andrew Giuliani. In any case, it’s been nearly 36 hours, and there’s still no word of Trump deciding to pay Rudy’s legal bills to keep him quiet. We’ll see.
