The return of the fake electors

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Judge Aileen Cannon might have put a hold on the DOJ’s investigation of Donald Trump for his illegal removal of classified documents, but they are not sitting around twiddling their thumbs. The DOJ continues its investigation into the fake elector scheme cooked up by Trump’s lawyers. Recall that a fake elector in Coffee County, Georgia allegedly gave access to an alleged cybersecurity team to “review” the Dominion voting machines. This is no longer speculation, as CNN released a video of the woman escorting them inside. Shortly after this, it became knowledge that the systems had been breached-illegally, as CNN pointed out.

Kathy Latham, the fake elector in question, was the Chairperson of the Coffee County GOP. Not only did she give these unauthorized people access to voting machines, but she had signed her fake elector form, declaring Donald Trump the victor of the 2020 election. According to CNN, this breach occurred the day after the January 6 insurrection, revealing the lengths to which these people were willing to go to keep Trump in power. Apparently, they either thought they would never be caught, or they just didn’t care. Latham is now under criminal investigation and has resigned her position. How many other “Lathams” do we have running election offices in this country? The very thought is frightening.

Just like their idol Donald Trump, these people think they are above the law. Surely, they had to know giving unauthorized people access to voting machines was against the law. Are they really that stupid or did they honestly think they would get away with what they were doing? Not only are the feds looking at them, but the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating the breach, as is the Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, whose probe goes even farther.

Latham is in hot water. She texted the Coffee County elections supervisor to inquire whether they were finished with a scanner. Then, she blatantly lied about Scott Hall’s presence in Coffee County-under oath, no less. After her text message was brought to her attention, she pled the Fifth. Innocent people don’t plead the Fifth, period. If you have nothing to hide, you testify as asked. If, on the other hand, you are afraid to testify-because you know you’re lying-that’s a whole other proverbial ballgame. These people knew what they were doing was wrong, yet they continued along the path they chose. Then, they must be ready to deal with the consequences of their actions.

These attempts to keep Trump in office boggles the mind, and for what? He did nothing but create bigger problems than we already had. He allowed COVID to run rampant rather than try to get it under control. He set race relations back 50 years. Call it what you want, but he also stole millions of dollars from taxpayers by upping the cost for Secret Service to stay in his hotels when they shouldn’t have been staying in them in the first place. Seeing him gone was “good riddance;” now, it’s time to say good riddance permanently to him and his crew.
