The Republicans are up to their witchy ways again

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The GOP has a number of things they’re obsessed with. Here are a few: Hunter Biden, the word “woke,” socialism, minimizing the January six insurrections and — witches. It is that last obsession I’d like to discuss.

Witch hysteria has infiltrated the republican party. And contrary to what many think, this is not a new obsession. In 2010, Republicans had a heck of a candidate in Christine O’Donnell. She claimed she “dabbled in witchcraft,” but never NEVER joined a coven. I guess we can be grateful for that.

In 2021, Michigan GOP Chair voiced his enthusiasm for burning democratic witness at the steak. He was forced to apologize for these offensive comments. And we must not forget the Samuel Alito ! As his quoting ancient judges reveals, the Extreme court justice is fond of all things witchy.

And now we have Republican sycophant Charlie Kirk. Kirk is lashing out at the Georgia Jury forewoman in the Trump case, claiming she’s — you guessed it, a witch. Kirk claimed that she’s into “alchemy, crystals, and how to be a witch.”

See what I mean? It’s all over. Everywhere they look, wherever they turn, the GOP sees witches. They can’t seem to stop themselves from their witch nightmares. The wicked witch of the west. Sabrina, the teenage witch. The white queen. These witches wander all over the minds of republicans. Perhaps some fly.

Others may sweep in on broomsticks. It doesn’t really matter HOW they arrive in the pea-brains of Republicans. The fact is that they do. The republicans need to shut up about witchcraft. Like controlling women’s bodies, it seems witchcraft is constantly on their minds.

I believe republicans would be more than happy to label anyone that doesn’t agree with them a witch. Like the mobs of Salem, they’re completely closed off to any worldview they do not believe in.

As for Kirk, he is an utter wackadoodle, but that doesn’t mean some don’t listen to him. The story of witchcraft needs to be finally put to bed but with crazed Republicans actually running around saying this stuff that has yet to happen.
