The Republican Party has a whole new January 6th problem

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The Republican party (or rather the insurrection party) has been behaving like an unruly bunch of children in literally all aspects of their “work.” Although many a Democrat has called them out on their insufferable conduct, this does not appear to matter to them as it would seem their behavior becomes more pathetic every day.

But now, a certain group of Republicans are being called out by some different folks — members of their own party. Per The Huffington Post, a new ad has been made. The makers of this ad are a group of GOP members from the Republican Accountability project. The ad will be about January 6.

The ad will be targeted toward specific Republican cowards such as Kevin McCarthy, Ted Cruz, and Lindsey Graham, to name a few. “They told the truth then. Why won’t they now?” asks the ad. Said ad also contains snippets of various Republicans telling the truth — as they did right after the insurrection.

It is a provocative and very well-done ad. But the best part? This ad is slated to run on Fox non-news. AND it will run on — when else — January 6. The ad will run not just once but all through the night of the 6th. As Hannity cuts to a commercial, it will run. As (what’s left) of Tucker Carlson’s advertisers envelop the screen, this ad will be featured.

The GOP has attempted to make a forgery of the truth about the insurrection. And though this ad may not change a lot of minds — it is to be featured on Fox, after all, it is nice to see some Republicans still understand what the truth is and will not let the dishonesty of the GOP stand without a fight.
