The Republican Party has a real messaging problem on its hands

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Republican National Committee Chair Ronna McDaniel is yelling around about how 204 million lethal doses of fentanyl were seized at the border. That’s right, the Biden administration seized them and saved American lives. Republicans seem to have a real messaging problem these days.

– Kevin McCarthy ran his mouth for eight and a half hours on Thursday night. Here’s hoping he’s this talkative when the January 6th Committee ends up subpoenaing him as a material witness. Better yet, here’s hoping he doesn’t show up. It’ll be fun to watch the highest ranking House Republican get arrested on federal criminal charges.

– Tweet of the day, from DNC Chair Jamie Harrison: “Justice is not always just. There is certainly pain in today’s verdict, and we must not forget it as we press on in the necessary work to ensure a better, safer future and a more equitable justice system—one that treats every American with fairness and dignity under the law.”
