The Republican Party dumpster fire is spewing toxic flames

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

North Dakota Republicans have introduced a bill to ban all students who publicly identify as cats from public school. Doug Mastriano, who ran for governor of Pennsylvania and lost by huge margins, wants a bill to be introduced in Pennsylvania, banning all drag performances from public property.

Books are being banned. Abortion is being banned. Everything is being banned. There was a time when republicans — normal ones — would have been aghast at what some of the freakier members of their party were doing.

But sadly, few normal Republicans exist anymore. So there are fewer decent Republicans who can see the horror of what is going on. And what is going on is the killing of morality. Morals, values, and simple common decency — are being slowly and torturously executed by the freakish group we have now who calls themselves Republicans.

In reality, they bear little resemblance to the old republican party. It’s like insane fembots have replaced sane humans. And that must be our message going forward. We have to explain and educate the American people. Stories like these help us do just that by showing the GOP’s lack of a moral compass.

The normalizing of insanity is here. All morals and values have gone out the window. We are the party of sanity. We still have the core values that most Americans believe in. But this phantom group we run against — who are they?

What do they stand for other than the execution of morality? I can’t see anything. Nobody can see their values, their conscientious decision-making, their humility. That’s because it isn’t there. There isn’t anything to see. So let that be our message in the future.
