The real reason Ted Cruz is lashing out like this

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Ted Cruz is a bizarre and sad person, but even he can tell which way the wind is blowing. He’s now admitting that January 6th was a “terrorist” attack because he’s trying to insulate himself from the findings that the January 6th Committee is about to deliver, and where public sentiment is heading on this matter.

Cruz has never had enough understanding of the human race to ever become popular as a politician. In fact most people on both sides think he’s a joke. But he’s the kind of political cockroach who knows what he needs to say in order to pander to his right wing constituents back in Texas and keep getting himself barely reelected.

So it’s notable that even Ted Cruz is now attacking Trump’s base – or at least the pro-insurrectionist portion of Trump’s base. He deserves zero credit for doing it this late in the game, but it’s not about that. It’s about where this is all clearly heading.
