The real reason Donald Trump’s “Joe Buden” debacle is so disastrous for him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Donald Trump’s babysitters have pulled the plug on his campaign rallies because he’s too senile to give a rally speech without generating negative headlines about his senility. That alone is a huge problem. Dementia generally gets worse, not better. Are they planning to keep him off the campaign trail through the entire election? How ugly will it be if and when they put him back out there?

In the meantime there’s a bigger issue at play. On Tuesday, Donald Trump made a frantically incoherent all caps Truth Social post in which he incorrectly referred to Joe Biden as “Joe Buden” and then went on to use several made up words. We all know that Trump is in this bad of cognitive condition. But where are his handlers?

Either Trump wrote and posted this embarrassing missive to Truth Social all by himself, or one of his handlers looked over Trump’s screed and was actually willing to post it without cleaning it up first. Either way, Trump apparently has no adult supervision whatsoever.

This came just one day after Trump held a seemingly unplanned “press conference” at one of his lower profile New York City properties, and proceeded to give a humiliatingly senile performance. He no longer knows who the Governor of New York is. Many of his sentences were random strings of words that didn’t go together. And there was apparently no one to stop Trump from holding that debacle of a press conference either.

Even though Trump’s people have succeeded in pulling him off the campaign trail so he can’t humiliate himself with senile rally speeches, they apparently can’t stop him from humiliating himself with senile social media posts and senile press conferences. Whatever tricks they’ve used to convince him to be okay with no longer holding rallies, it hasn’t convinced Trump to shut up altogether. He’s still finding ways to run his senile mouth.

So the real problem for Donald Trump isn’t that he thinks the current President of the United States is “Joe Buden” or “Obama” or “Obaba” or whatever his dementia riddled mind has landed on this week. It’s that no one around him seems to have any real control over him. For better and for worse, it’s easy to trick people with severe dementia into doing (or not doing) whatever you want. But with Trump, no one seems to even be taking these basic steps. Rallies or no rallies, the general public is going to continue seeing just how senile he’s become – and his condition is only going to get worse.
