The real reason Donald Trump is in New Mexico of all places today

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Why do Donald Trump’s people have him in New Mexico today? Simple answer: he’s a senile narcissist whose campaign is falling apart. His babysitters know that he responds well to drawing a crowd but goes into a funk when he faces a small crowd – and he can’t draw a crowd in swing states anymore, because he’s been there too many times and even his remaining supporters are tired from showing up to hear him speak gibberish.

So instead Trump’s babysitters are sending him to places like New Mexico, where he hasn’t been before, because those are the kinds of states where he can still draw a crowd.

At this point Trump’s campaign babysitters are focused on trying to keep him placated, not on trying to win. That way, when he loses, he’ll remember that he was drawing big crowds down the stretch, and instead of blaming his babysitters for his loss, he’ll blame conspiracy theories. The people around Trump are just trying to make sure he doesn’t blame them when he loses.

And so we’ve got a major party presidential nominee who’s losing down the stretch and whose campaign isn’t even trying to win. But that’s what happens when your candidate is both clinically narcissistic and clinically senile.
