The “perfect evidence” to take Donald Trump down
The news that Trump and Republican national committee chair, Ronna McDaniel tried to strong-arm two canvassers in Michigan into not certifying the election results does not particularly surprise me. After all — this IS Donald Trump we’re talking about.
So yes Trump did this and Lordy there are tapes. This is definitely not going to be a merry Christmas for Donald Trump. “We’ve got to fight for our country,” Trump can be heard saying to the canvassers. “We can’t let these people take our country away from us.”
Boys will be boys, and traitors will be traitors, but of course, what traitors have GOT to understand is — they too must face the consequences. Will there be a fifth indictment? I wrote not that long ago that I expected more to come from somewhere, that the Trump orchestra had not played its final note and that the crescendo may not have reached full volume yet.
And so here we are. This is really damning, Folks. And as for Ronna McDaniel, had she one iota of grace, she’d immediately step down. What she did was awful, but given this IS the Republican Party, that might not happen.
I do expect someone to be charged out of all this. And you know who else might be thinking the same? Donald John Trump. Why do I say that? Well– reportedly, Trump is “frustrated” and a bit scared. He’s also reported to be furious that his nemesis, Jack Smith, now has MORE evidence against him.
Trump is reportedly not taking the news of the surfacing tape well, and he is also reportedly stunned and angered by the Colorado Supreme Court’s decision to remove him from the ballot.
“Perfect evidence” against Trump. These words come from Attorney Joe Gallina of the group “Call to Activism,” who referred to the recordings as a “smoking gun.” Indeed they are. But you know what else I am wondering?
How many OTHER tapes are out there, floating in the ether? How many other “smoking guns” are out there? We have no way of knowing. But yes, there could be other states where Trump attempted to break the law. After all, he is an equal-opportunity lawbreaker. I’d not be surprised if something surfaced out of Arizona or perhaps Wisconsin. That is purely speculative on my part. But it’s not a big stretch of the imagination. Nor, in fact, would indictment number five be a stretch either.
