The one word Donald Trump didn’t want to hear
If fate could speak directly to Donald Trump, she’d say: “You’re screwed.” This is because Donald Trump is continuing his losing streak. And there is one specific loss the traitor had that put a smile on my face because it’s pretty funny when one thinks about it.
Judge Chutkan has denied Trump’s request to subpoena the January sixth committee members and certain pieces of evidence from the committee. This happened on Monday. Hearing the word “no” is becoming a regular thing for the traitor and chief, and he doesn’t like it one bit.
Yet WE like it. Trump is used to sycophants, falling at his feet, doing whatever he wants them to do. Now he is being treated like just another criminal. And that means, the word “no” is clinging to Trump and will not let go.
Trump’s team had also wanted to subpoena records from the committee. In her denial, Judge Chutkan remarked that it seemed as if Trump and team were engaging in a “fishing expedition.” I love that term — fishing expedition — because that’s EXACTLY what Trump’s lawyers have been engaging in from the start.
That’s because they have few lines of defense for their wayward client. Chutkan also remarked that the “description of their potential relevance” (The J-6th sixth records) was “vague” in nature. So once again, Donald Trump heard the word that, for him, should be becoming a regular thing in his life. NO.
