The 2024 metric that shows Joe Biden is absolutely clobbering Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

President Joe Biden has hauled in $71 million for his 2024 campaign in the most recent fundraising quarter, accordingly to newly released numbers. In that same time period, Donald Trump brought in just $45 million. That’s a massive difference, given that each man is considered to be his party’s “frontrunner.” This isn’t a new trend. The previous quarter’s fundraising numbers were very similar.

This tells us some very clear things. First, Joe Biden is clearly much more popular than his approval rating polling would suggest, or else he wouldn’t be bringing in historically large amounts of small-dollar donations like this. Biden isn’t even out there campaigning yet – he’s too busy running the country and saving the world from itself – and yet he’s still raking in donations that point to massive enthusiasm for his campaign.

More than that, Biden’s popularity is helping to fund Democratic candidates up and down the ballot. The Biden 2024 campaign is a juggernaut, regardless of what the media likes to claim.

It’s also highly notable that Trump’s fundraising numbers continue to remain jarringly low. His supporters keep running their mouths about how they’re with him until the end, but their wallets are saying something very different. Their donations to the “Trump 2024” campaign were subpar in the most recent quarter and in the quarter before that.

While Trump’s biggest core support base is continuing to donate to him, the rest of the Republican base is clearly pulling back from him. They know he’s spending his campaign donations on his trial defenses instead of mounting an actual campaign. And they know he’s going to be in prison before the election anyway. So why would anyone but the biggest die-hards on his side bother to waste money on his essentially imaginary campaign?

Yet even as the fundraising hauls continue to point to Joe Biden’s reelection bid being more popular than ever and Donald Trump’s reelection bid falling to pieces, the (entire) mainstream media continues to insist the precise opposite is true. “Biden is in trouble, Trump has us right where he wants us” is a ratings-friendly narrative, so the media keeps running with it. But if there were any truth to it, the fundraising numbers would be the opposite of what they are.
