The nuts are loose

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Associated Press reported late Monday that a man in Alabama has been indicted on federal charges for leaving threatening voicemails to Fani Willis and Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat. Expect more of this as Donald Trump continues to spew his hate. He knows he’s riling these people up, and he’s doing it on purpose. Seeing people risk their lives and freedom in his name is a high for him. In Trump’s twisted mind, they are showing their love for him, not that Donald Trump even understands what the word means.

The indictment was issued on October 25 and unsealed Monday. The man’s name is Arthur Ray Hanson II, and he lives in Huntsville, AL. He pled not guilty, even though he obviously left voicemails on the customer service line of the Georgia government. Hanson is beyond stupid. Those lines are likely tapped, and if he was on a cell phone, it’s relatively easy to find the tower where the call pinged, giving away his location. In his voicemail, Hanson told Willis to “watch out” because “she won’t always have people around her.”

His threats to Labat show the level of his stupidity. He threatened Labat that if he took a mug shot of Trump, Hanson would make him regret messing with “my president.” If this fool thinks Trump gives one hoot about him, he’s even crazier than he appears. He has made an initial appearance, and his formal arraignment will take place in Atlanta on November 13. It would be nice if Fani Willis arraigned him herself to show him what a big, bad man he is. The government is not taking these threats lightly.

Abigail Jo Shry from Alvin, TX began trial Monday for threatening Judge Tanya Chutkan. Shry also threatened Sheila Jackson Lee, a Congresswoman from Texas. Her recording to Judge Chutkan stated her intent to “kill anyone who went after former President Trump,” and she said: “We want to kill Sheila Jackson Lee.” She also ranted about Democrats and members of the LGBTQ community. Ultimately, Shry said that she (and whoever the rest of “we” might be) planned to kill Chutkan and Lee if “Trump doesn’t get elected in 2024.” In Shry’s case, she admitted that she made the call, and it’s not her first time. Her family blames her behavior on major depression and substance abuse. Fine. Then lock her ass away until she feels better. Her father testified that she sits on her couch drinking beer and agitating herself by watching the news. He said that she never leaves home and “would not act upon her threats.” They are supposed to just believe that and let her go?

This is the very reason that Judge Engoron placed a gag order on Trump and has twice fined him. Judge Chutkan has also reintroduced her gag order. Both judges have seen plenty of evidence of Trump’s proclivities, and in the case of Chutkan, prosecutors have further shown that Trump has attempted to “influence and intimidate” Mark Meadows. In the words of Trump’s fans, lock him up.
