The media sure blew this one

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

I remember the good old days. Those were the days when we had functional media that usually told the truth and always reported the news with the seriousness it deserved. And they reported FACTS. I was angry today. I was mad because no matter what station I turned to, I saw the media making a non-story into a fake thing.

“This looks really bad for President Biden,” they smirked. You, of course, know what I mean. I speak of the unforgivable sin of President Biden finding a few documents that he hadn’t known were there and immediately doing the right thing by alerting the right people.

That paragraph above? THAT’S THE STORY. It is the ONLY story. But because we have a media that has failed us — who demands whataboutism on a daily or even hourly basis they have taken the ball and run with it.

Only they will not be scoring a touchdown. It is incomprehensible to me why anyone would tune in to hear this junk. I, of course, turned the TV off. I had to or go insane. Do you know what I worry about regarding the 2024 election? Not candidate quality. Not a rough map. I worry about the damn media — out there like raccoons sorting through rotten garbage.

The press will sort through words and words of utter nonsense, vainly trying to make exasperating stories out of nothing to prove the Democrats don’t have a chance. It’s what they do. It’s what they have done for the last half dozen elections and more. Over and over, they let us down with fake news, fake words, and fake stories. It’s an outrage. And yet, we’re stuck with them.

Turning them off and letting them know why is the best thing we can do. It is the only way we can get back to the kind of news that matters to us — real information, real stories with real consequences. The rest? The rest is just noise pollution. Tune it out. Tune it out and turn them off. Because in the serious times we’re in, we cannot afford to be sabotaged.
