The Matt Gaetz saga gets weird

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The investigation of Matt Gaetz is ongoing as far as I’m concerned. That I why I stayed away from writing about the absurd “article,” saying it wasn’t. But there is another story about Gaetz, and this one is bizarre. Apparently, Gaetz decided to do something new. No, not trying a new type of hairstyle (although I’d certainly recommend that). Gaetz decided to join Twitch. Uh-oh.

For those who have not heard of Twitch, it is a digital live streaming service that offers creative content and real-life streams. And Gaetz apparently wanted to be the newest member of the service. This was a bad idea.

Gaetz launched a live stream, all right. And what did he talk about? That the FBI was responsible for the January 6 insurrection. Welcome to Twitch, Matt Gaetz! Gaetz appeared in a frenzy, babbling on and on, a miserable new addition to the twitch service.

But lots of people tuned in. Lots! Just kidding. Gaetz’s diatribe attracted an infinite number of six people. Six marks the spot. Gaetz soon signed off his new toy and went offline. But alas, he left his chatroom open.

And this was just simply not a good idea. Because Twitch members did not seem to like Gaetz. The messages started appearing. I cannot quote most of them in this article because most of them were of a pornographic nature.

I can say, however, that one them was constant.

“GAETZ IS A PEDO” was appearing all over. “MINORS” and “TRAFFICS” also appeared. You get the picture. Hundreds of these messages started appearing, steadily growing sleazier.

Making matters worse for Gaetz, he chose to join the service one day after a report was released on child predators using Twitch to engage with kids. Some might say poor Matt Gaetz. I am not one of those people. I say this couldn’t have happened to a sleazier person. Maybe Gaetz will think twice next time, but knowing him, that is very doubtful.
