“The king of gaffes”

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The human eyes are remarkable if one stops and thinks about it. Eyes convey our deepest emotions. You’ve heard the expression — it’s all in the eyes. That is accurate. Eyes crinkle with laughter when we make merry. They sometimes become huge, like giant quarters, when we are surprised. And sometimes — only sometimes — they are weeping willows when we shed tears.

How many tears were shed through the human eye in these last few years because of something Donald Trump did? How many fragile weeping willows were there — because of Donald Trump? I could not even begin to count.

He has hurt more people, caused more people pain, and created more weeping willow eyes — than anyone I can think of. Yet, we won. We beat him. He knows it, too, and he doesn’t like it. Donald Trump’s world is getting smaller. His cognitive impairment is now out in the open. Let me give you one new example.

The place was CNN. The anchor was Erin Burnett. She was teasing a segment about the Donald. “Is Trump now the king of gaffes,” she asked mischievously as a preview. Oh wow. It seems lately, that Trump’s gaffes are on full display. So many have picked up on the fact that the Republican traitor appears to be losing it. When it makes its way to CNN, one knows it’s taken on its own wings.

And President Biden appears ready, willing, and oh so able to highlight some of the more obvious gaffes. For example., the Biden team has highlighted Trump’s not knowing what town he is in and mixing up Presidential name as well as misidentifying different countries.

And now he appears to have a new nickname — King of Gaffes. I like it, Erin! Someone should take all of Trump’s gaffes and set them to music. It is good — perfect that they are being noticed.

Also being seen are Trump’s spawn testifying against him. Not a day goes by now that Trump does not lash out about something. And I am glad. Usually, with most people, were they in such a bad state, I’d be worried about them. Not Trump though. Never trump.

You see, it goes back to the eyes. I think of them. All the tears shed, filling our lands, glistening on countrysides great and small. These tears are the result of the pain this man caused, whether it was tearing babies from mothers’ arms, mishandling Covid, spurring on racism, treating women like chattel, or betraying the office of the presidency with evil and insurrection.

Now it’s OUR turn. It is OUR turn to watch as the orange madman struggles to get out of the many traps that have been laid for him. He cannot do it, you see. He has nowhere to run, and as HIS eyes fill with rage and impotence, our eyes shine — and will continue to shine — with the knowledge that we have stopped many of those tears and turned them into victory.
