The ketchup is flying at Mar-a-Lago tonight

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. Brace yourselves, folks. The ketchup will be hitting the fan as earlier on Tuesday the Colorado Supreme Court disqualified Orange Former Guy (OFG) from appearing on the ballot next year. The Court found that under Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment OFG was disqualified because he had engaged in “insurrection or rebellion” against the United States.

Specifically, the Court said, “Because he is disqualified, it would be a wrongful act under the Election Code for the Colorado Secretary of State to list him as a candidate on the presidential primary ballot.” The Court did, however, stay the ruling until January 4th to allow any appeals to be filed.

I don’t know if using the 14th Amendment would be very effective given how few seem willing to use it against OFG even though the Constitution mandates it. But I’m seeing today’s ruling as good news because it demonstrates to the world’s largest narcissist that his actions do have consequences for him.
