The Jack Smith court filing that should have Donald Trump panicking

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

The week started with a bang as Donald Trump was ordered by one of his Judges in Florida not to disclose any sensitive and private information about the classified documents. Jack Smith had asked the court to issue this order. He also sought the same thing with Walt Nauta, trump’s apparent partner in crime.

The Trump prosecution team, in their filing, said that the materials in question contain lots of sensitive and confidential information. And this would seem to include “personally identifiable information.”

And, of course, there were the damning words that must have horrified Trump: “Information pertaining to ongoing investigations, the disclosure of which could compromise those investigations and identify uncharged individuals.”

Any violation of confidentiality could result in criminal sanctions. So how long do you think it will take for Donald Trump to indeed violate such an order? Interestingly, it was not Judge Cannon who made this decision. It was Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart also assigned to the case. Perhaps he will play a larger role than we at first thought.

So this will be a real test for Trump — the ultimate test. Keeping his mouth shut? Trump has never been any good at THAT. Only now, he will have to be. He will have to exercise a bit of self-control.

I don’t know about you, but I think we’ve got a better chance of finding life on Mars (and Jupiter and Pluto) than of Trump keeping his mouth shut. Trump never was any good at psychological stuff, like keeping himself in check and not blabbing confidential secrets all over the place. We’ll see if he can do it this time, but I do not hold out much hope.
