The internet just canceled Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

With too many things going wrong right now to count, and most of them either the fault of Donald Trump or being made worse by Donald Trump, Americans at least deserve a little catharsis along the way. Sure enough, when a certain hashtag popped up on Twitter today, the internet had quite a bit of fun at Trump’s expense.

The hashtag #ThingsWeShouldCancel surfaced on the Twitter trending list, and while we’re not sure what its creator specifically had in mind to begin with, the hashtag quickly went in a predictable direction as everyone piled on.

When it comes to things we should cancel, political activist McSpocky tweeted “specifically the orange clown from the presidency.” Political analyst Grant Stern added “Reality TV presidency.” Actress Angela Belcamino added this: “Telling women they are too emotional to lead after having a President like Trump who has the impulse and emotional control of an especially trying toddler.”

Meanwhile, with Donald Trump busy playing golf today while attacking everyone from respected economists to respected members of the media, Trump is making clear that the #ThingsWeShouldCancel hashtag really does apply to him.
