The great MAGA no-show

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

It was SUPPOSED to be a rally to end all rallies. This was the January 6 “truth” rally at the Capitol. The gathering was supposed to include Maga in all their glory. They were seeking to rally for their cause, to rewrite history, to pledge loyalty to Donald Trump and to the Maga movement in general.

There was just one little problem. Nobody showed up. This sad little gathering consisted of a few dozen Maga at the MOST. Standing forlornly, the tiny band of misfits attempted to put some energy into their cause by shouting about abolishing the FBI.

“Trump is a loser,” echoed back to them. That’s right. The counter-protesters HAD come out. And they were not being shy about their feelings. “Trump’s a loser, a little baby loser,” one of the contract protesters yelled out.

This must have been an embarrassment to some on the alt-right like The Gateway pundit who had excitedly predicted this gathering would “be the biggest J6 event to date.”

Ouch. Nobody showed. Perhaps people were with their friends, their loved ones, eating, drinking, and enjoying life.

Not that the few dozen there did not try to rally for their cause. They waved upside-down flags. They stood around looking belligerent. But this did nothing. Nobody wanted to be there nor be associated with the freak show of sad believers. Meanwhile, the counter-demonstrators were in their element, easily drowning out the piddling group of Maga.

It did not help that a fun-filled Mexican festival called Fiesta DC was occurring just down the street(perhaps Ted Cruz was there), and the noise from that event also drowned out the few Maga at this gathering. What a sad, sad day to be a Maga.
