The GOP’s number one priority
The GOP has a little problem with honesty. You see, “Speaker” Mike Johnson is reportedly holding back a vote on impeaching President Biden. The reason he is doing this is because he does not have the votes.
That’s when you get when you try to impeach someone for no good reason at all. Legal analyst Norm Eisen said on CNN that the votes just are not there. “There is no evidence,” he said. “There is no there there. There is simply no connection of Joe Biden’s wrongdoing and therefore no basis for impeachment.”
No, there is not. And it is driving Republicans crazy. They so want President Biden to be corrupt. They so long for him to be a bad guy — even worse than Trump! (I do not think THAT is something many would qualify for.)
But alas! All the GOP’s efforts have been in vain. That doesn’t mean they will stop, though. Of course, they won’t! They are mad, vengeful parasites, so of course, they will not stop.
If the GOP had any real courage, they would tell the American people the truth about why they want to impeach. And it might sound something like the following: “We, the House Republicans, are vowing to impeach Joe Biden. Now listen, voters, it’s not because we give a damn about you. It also isn’t because Biden’s a bad guy. Actually, he’s a pretty cool man. Some of us actually like him.”
“We want to impeach for a few reasons, number one being that Donald Trump told us that’s what he wants.”
“You see, voters, YOU really don’t matter to us. It isn’t like we actually LISTEN to you. Sorry if we ever give you that impression.”
“We have only a few things we’re interested in, and helping you all is not one of them. We care about controlling women, for one. The other thing we care about is doing what Trump tells us to because, at the heart of it, we’re scared little wienies and are terrified of him.”
“We also MUST show that Biden is worse than Trump. Now, of course, he isn’t! But we DO want to mess with your minds a little and attempt to convince some of the more suggestive voters that Biden is a monster.”
“He’s not helping us much at all because he’s so damn GOOD.”
“He even gave back those classified documents! And what’s with that loan helping his son buy a truck? Damn him! Why does he have to be such a great guy?”
“So voters, we will continue to try to sniff out something we can use against Biden, and if we can’t find anything? We’ll just make shit up! Why not? It’s not like we have anything to lose. We know you hate us, and we know we can’t win elections anymore. But at least — AT LEAST — we can continue to have Trump’s approval, and that is our number one priority.”
