The GOP week from hell

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

I just can’t get over it. I marvel at it. What a week from hell the Republican party has had! It has been just AWFUL for them. If the GOP were capable of inspiring sympathy in me (and they’re not), I’d actually feel sorry for them.

It’s like everything they’ve touched this week has turned to shit. I just can’t get over it. Do you suppose somebody jinxed them? First, the whole ridiculous party got owned, live on television during Biden’s state of the union.

It must have just been pure misery for some of them who especially like owning the libs like Matt Gaetz and Josh Hawley. To themselves get owned well — that would NOT be fun for this miserly group. But then there is what happened the other day, which is just as bad.

The oversight committee held a hearing on Hunter Biden. Well – it was SUPPOSED to be on Hunter. It backfired. Is anyone surprised by this? What was supposed to show that democrats had attempted to stifle conservative voices on Twitter instead revealed it was Donald Trump himself and his team who attempted to do the stifling.

Elon Musk, are you listening? NBC News says: “The House Republicans’ hearing on Twitter’s role in suppressing the Biden laptops story took some unexpected twists Wednesday — including one witness testifying that the white house had requested the platform remove a Chrissy Teigen tweet insulting then-President Donald Trump.”

I have never used this term before in any of my articles, but I feel I must today: ROFLMAO. That means “rolling on the floor laughing my ass off.” And this is why so many are laughing. The GOP keeps screwing up. Over and over, they screw up. A suitable payback, I think, for all the times they’ve screwed over their voters.
