The GOP state of disunion

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Allow me if you will to introduce you to the state of the GOP’s union. Elise Stefanik is blasting the Democrats “failed, far-left policies.” Republicans are asking their voters to boycott Direct TV for daring to drop the conservative station Newsmax.

Ted Cruz is ranting about the Grammy awards and how evil they are. Marco Rubio made a fool of himself this weekend lashing out at Biden for not doing enough about the spy balloon. Kevin McCarthy is trying to hold our government, hostage by ignoring the debt ceiling. The state of the GOP is abysmal. It sucks.

Do you see a pattern in all this? It’s whining. The GOP has devolved. And this has turned them into a bunch of insufferable, petulant losers who wail endlessly about how anyone and everyone are out to get them. The state of the GOP union is paranoia.

The GOP are no longer politicians — they’re injustice collectors. I’ve read books on injustice collectors. If you want to know more about the injustice collecting syndrome, there are many books out there for your reading pleasure.

The injustice collector is someone who nurses resentment over real or imagined injustices. This person complains, whines, and collects injustices like some people collect stamps. All these injustices pile on top of each other, forming mind pyramids of complaints, whines, angry pieces of resentment, and particles of injustice collecting.

In time, the person engaging in this behavior turns into an empty vessel consumed with anger, suspicion, and resentment. They imagine everyone wants to destroy them. They itemize the suspected harms they have received. They often feel the need for vengeance. They are the GOP.

The state of the GOP union is injustice collecting. This is a real term with real symptoms and real consequences. The GOP — somehow, some way, became the party of injustice collecting.

The GOP nurses their grievances with fierce scowls, bitter words, and perpetually defensive behavior. They waste time by collecting bittering grievance and injustice. They cannot or will not stop. Injustice collecting is a pathology. It is who the GOP is. It is their state of their union. It is why we will beat them in 2024.
