The good news keeps rolling in for Kamala Harris
It’s a new week, so are we looking at a new political narrative? Apparently not. This new week is already shaping up to look a lot like last week: good news keeps rolling in for Kamala Harris, while Donald Trump continues to flop.
Polls don’t make an election, but take a look at these new numbers. Kamala Harris is four points ahead of Trump nationwide in the new Morning Consult poll, three points ahead in the new YouGov poll, and one point ahead in the new TIPP poll. But there are even better numbers than that for Harris.
For instance the new CBS News poll says that 74% of Black voters definitely plan to vote in this election, up from 58% two weeks ago. Then there’s the new Somos Votantes poll, which has Harris 25 points ahead of Trump with Hispanic voters.
The only “good” news for Trump in all of this is that if you’re only one or three or four points behind in national polling, you’re still in the game. But if that’s the best spin for Trump, then he’s truly in trouble. Moreover, even with Trump starting to fall behind in the race, his campaign schedule this week is almost nonexistent.
Of course this all means we have to keep at it. We absolutely do not want to leave things to chance. So a one point lead, or even a four point lead, is no time to stop working and start celebrating. Let’s keep working, and help Kamala Harris open up the largest lead possible.
