The floodgates have burst

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

We knew it was only a matter of time — and not that much time either. We knew the silence could not last — and it didn’t. We knew once the dam burst, it would be only evil that streamed out over the floodgates — never love.

And we knew that the words would be vile – because his words always are. It happened on Wednesday as Mr. Trump spoke with Fox News’s Brian Kilmeade. “Israel was not prepared,” Trump said of the terrorist attack by Hamas. But it gets worse.

Later on that same day, at a rally, Trump said this: “You know, Hezbollah is very smart. They’re all very smart.” If you think that Trump’s vile remarks were met with outrage, you’d, of course, be correct.

EVERYONE condemned him. Even Ron DeSantis got in on the act. Trump was defended by his spokesman, Steven Cheung, who explained all Trump was doing was saying how incompetent the Biden administration is.

The Biden administration is not incompetent. In fact, people everywhere are speaking very highly of President Biden and his rapid response to the terrorist attack. Trump, on the other hand, is being mocked once again. “Off the rails and frankly insane.” These words are from Morning Joe, who reacted with with disgust saying Trump sounded “insane.”

This is because he is. But there’s more. Trump claimed that former President Barack Obama is still running our government. Really. Trump said this. At least he didn’t say Jeb Bush is the Vice President.

Could his senility perhaps have caused him to believe this guff? Anything’s possible, and as many have noted, Trump is most definitely NOT himself these days. Many have also spoken about how Trump’s voice has changed. Often, these days, it shakes a bit.

And yet his praising of Hezbollah likely would have happened senility or no senility. This is because Trump identifies those with blood on their hands. He’s always wanted to be like them, to emulate them, but he will never have that chance. Instead he can fantasize all he wants — from his cold, tiny cell.
