The fix is in
And so they came. The brave women. There were mothers, and daughters and wives and sisters. Women whose children have been directly affected by gun violence. A special session was going on in the Tennessee legislature. It had been called ostensibly to figure out new solutions to gun violence.
However, Republicans made it clear what the fix was. Nothing. We’re not gonna fix it one Republican actually said to a reporter. Republicans also hastily put together some new rules for how the session would go down. These “rules” included forbidding anyone from bringing any signs of any sort into the legislature.
And when a few of these grief stricken mothers came in with small signs, Republicans had them thrown out. I repeat Republicans had them thrown out of the building.
Some of these courageous women wept outside as they spoke to the media about how Republicans, in reality, were not going to do anything to fix the gun problem and how they had just stripped these women of their first amendment rights
Proud Boys were also there, protesting against these beautiful, strong women who, in another article I referred to as wildflowers. Proud boys followed some of the Democratic lawmakers around the building. It was attempted intimidation at its finest.
And bear in mind this was all done, because apparently Republicans who care about making sure women carries dead fetuses, who care about taxing only the poor, and never the wealthy, who care about insulting and bullying the LGBTQ community, apparently don’t give two shits about crazed gun toting monsters shooting people to pieces.
