The FDA just made Donald Trump’s hydroxychloroquine scandal even uglier for him

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

With all the chaos playing out right now, it’s easy to forget that just a couple weeks ago, Donald Trump claimed that he was taking the dangerous and potentially fatal drug hydroxychloroquine as a coronavirus preventative. Most people didn’t believe he was really taking it, and that he was just trying to prop up whatever financial con game he was running with the drug.

In any case, studies keep showing that hydroxychloroquine has no known effect on coronavirus at all. Now Donald Trump’s own FDA is revoking its own emergency use authorization for the drug as a coronavirus treatment, meaning doctors can no longer even give it out to coronavirus patients. Why? It’s incredibly dangerous and it doesn’t work anyway, as everyone outside of Trump’s bubble has long understood.

Even though Donald Trump probably wasn’t taking the drug to begin with, it is worth noting that weeks after he claimed to be poisoning himself with a potentially fatal drug, his arm no longer works, and he can barely walk. There’s no reason to believe these are necessarily connected. It’s just that Trump’s collapsing health, and his dishonest attempts at covering up whatever is wrong with him, should absolutely be a national focus right now.
